Pete and Kate Leeming are the newest members of The King’s Church leadership team. They were married at Kings in 2010. Whilst Kate and her family have been members of the church for a number of years, Pete was baptised more recently in 2015. Since then the pair have grown in their faith together.
Their heart for the church is to see people set free (John 8:36), released from their burdens (Matthew 11:28-30) and to be made whole through a life lived as God intended (Romans 12:2).
They are passionate about discipleship (Matthew 28:19) and together run the Alpha course at King’s Church and run a connect group at their home in Copley. Between them they are also involved in kids work, the Freedom in Christ course and House of Prayer.
Their hopes for the future of The King’s Church are that we love one another (John 13:34-35), are unified (Ephesians 4:11-13) and live Spirit filled, righteous and holy lives (Ephesians 4:20-4). They believe through this, the lost can be found, the broken repaired and the oppressed set free. (Isaiah 61:1 & Luke 4:18).
Outside of Kings, Pete is a firefighter and Kate a physiotherapist. They have 3 children – Joel, Jonah & Sofia – as well as being part of a much larger church family!
