Coronavirus Guidance

Meetings are on hold CHURCH is not

King’s Church Gathered meetings suspended until the government amends advice on social distancing and gatherings.

Church however is far from suspended! Worship, pray & listen to God. The leadership at King’s are working on a strategy to support our community well. We will update our website and facebook page daily. A text will be sent to members asking how they want to be contacted over the coming weeks.  We will also ask for volunteers to be available to provide support to others who are in need. Keep in contact and Love as you have been Loved.

This Sunday at 10:30am there will be a short address on facebook live which will also stream through this website. Please join us then and look for other opportunities to share fellowship, worship and pray together.

King’s Church Halifax COVID-19 Coronavirus Guidance

James 3…17 wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

Let us be a people who are filled with faith, peace & wisdom.

The Government set out in its action plan the prospect of introducing ‘population distancing strategies’ if the virus spread more rapidly in the UK. This included reducing large-scale gatherings and current advice is to limit any non essential gatherings.  It is vital and wise for King’s Church Halifax to take measures to ensure the health of our congregation and neighbours, whilst we continue our witness as a worshipping community. We believe the government is providing wise instruction and we will follow their guidance (We pray for wisdom for our leaders and protection for our nation). Advice continues to be prioritising good hygiene practice to limit the spread of the disease. This includes using disposable tissues to catch coughs and sneezes and regularly thoroughly washing your hands (for at least 20 seconds) with soap or using sanitiser gel. If you have cold or flu symptoms, advice is to stay at home and follow the NHS guidance.

As a community we should support one another spiritually and practically, extending  our witness beyond the church. Members of the church, If you need to self-isolate please let the church know – – 01422 250872. We will practically support each other.  We will speak faith into the situation and minister peace. Let us be a good witness at this time, in place of Fear & Darkness let us dispense Love, Hope & Light.

Let’s use technology to stay in contact with those who have to self isolate. We will share worship, encouragement and the word of God by steaming meetings live through social media – facebook If you do not know how to connect in this way please let us know and we will help make a way. We will also phone and send out weekly newsletters to anyone who cannot access social media.  As many are doing across all walks of life, look out for our neighbours and see our communities strengthened as we care for one another and glorify God.

It is important to be wise and informed but do not take your eyes off our Loving Father who is not distant, He sustains us even in times of trial. Meditate on His goodness.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
